Read this
"St James's Palace is pleased to announce Prince William's A-level results: History of Art - B; Geography - A; Biology - C," said the Palace statement.
"The Prince of Wales is delighted with William's A-level results and his wish to attend a Scottish university. HRH said today: 'I know how hard William worked to achieve these excellent results and I am very proud that he has done so well.'"

This of cos happened about 2 years ago but i just came upon it. If only S'porean parents will regard ABC as "excellent results" for A levels huh. And heck, Prince William is not even taking 4 A level subjects to begin with. And oh, Math C is not a complusory subject too, can see those Math haters out there grinding their teeth... i seriously wonder whether it's because he's part of the royal family that's why they have to present a good report or is the situation in England like that?

Exam results
Checked the dreaded results at 6.36pm when it was released at 4pm because i was still at Bishan Junction 8 shopping then. Haha. Anyway, here's my results and i'm going to do an individual analysis...

Marketing : A
Changing Landscapes of Singapore : A-
Operation Management : B+
Financial Accounting : B
Macro and International Economics : C+

Marketing : Didn't believe that Susan Fung (my tutor) actually liked the crap i wrote?! Maybe the MCQ pulled me up? Maybe the project pulled me up? Anyway it's good cos that will give me the confidence to major in Marketing...But then seems like everyone else got A too...Hmm...
Changing Landscapes of Singapore : A geograhpy module. Basically i had expected an A cos i had A for my project and A+ for my mid term test... A relatively fun module, best if you had geography knowledge... I love geography...human geography to be exact.
Operation Management : Very, very surprised cos i totally didn't know how to do one question during the exam. I didn't had single gist what it was asking...Maybe Prof Hum (my tutor) was kind enough... Did i mention my uncle used to be classmates with him? Hehe...
Financial Accounting : No complaints cos overall, it was an enjoyable module with a funny lecturer and he being my tutor as well... Maybe because it didn't had a project and it was an open book exam. Snigger.
Macro and International Economics : i officially hate Economics. i took a whole week to study for this, grasping the concepts, making notes, and i thought the exam was fairly ok. C+ is what i get...Such a sore eye. Irritating. Maybe i scored zero for my tutorial participation which takes up 20%. And it doesn't help to know that i took Economics at A levels...To think i even dreamt of getting into the London School of Economics to do Economics...

And so my CAP deproved by 0.15...hate school...

Before all these, i was happily exploring the newly revamped Junction 8 with my mum. Honestly, it looked the same when i came months ago. Never mind that. Mum bought a bag from Muji, me bought a skirt at 12 bucks originally at $15. Mum even wanted to bring it down to $10. Went to Bodyshop to test perfume. Hoho, had fun using the testers, didn't bought any in the end...haha. Then i had a hair cut !! At the infamous QB ten minutes hairdresser. The ironic thing is, even though i did got my hair cut in 10 mins, i waited almost an hour to get that cut. Haha. But cool experience. Well, it's 10 bucks, what can you complain? After that went to Citylink mall Nooch for dinner and my mum don't like the food. Ok, no more going to Nooch. Now my legs are aching, and i'm starting to feel sick. Shall sleep soon...

Song change
Was having difficulties changing the template yesterday, but it's ok now and the new "song of the fortnight" is up. Short introduction... It's a song written by David Tao and Lee Hom and they got over 80 artistes to sing it, hoping to use music to unite the people in fighting SARS. Recording took less than a week. Quite a nice song, if only the Taiwanese medical staff are as united as the artistes. We have some big shots in it like 杰伦 and 仔仔, haha. Think they produced about a million copies and yesterday 亚洲娱乐中心 was giving out 500 copies...But they need people to fax over details and i don't have a fax machine at home. Darn.

Six hours later i will be having my BTT... Though everyone say it's easy, cannot be over confident... Later must read through again.

This whole week is the JC bowling competition week. Guess most of you know that my dear bro is in the bowling team. Of course TPJ standard cannot be compared to ACJ or HCJ, that's why my bro is playing for himself, not for the school...haha. There was alot of funny stuff as well. A PJC girl will sort of dance whenever she spares and my bro's coach says she sucks but her mentality is good. Haha. Think my bro's school quite poor thing cos they have a teacher i/c who know nuts about bowling and a captain who apparently wasn't first choice for a captain and a miserly budget. Feel like going down to support see see, but it's at the ulu Yishun and my week has been quite a busy one.

5 girls & a guy
Just came back from a JC "class" outing...The turnout was, 5 gals and a guy, haha, poor Zhiwei, no guy to accompany him. That goes to show how "on" the gals are...Actually it's because we all zhuo boh. So we went to Suntec NYDC where i had grilled honey-baked ham sandwich (not that you would want to know) then we walked all the way to Esplanade to sit down and stone, as usual. But then we saw this NC-16 scence (not RA) whereby this old chinese woman was hugging a not-so-equally-old Eurasian? (my friend insists he's Chinese, it was dark, can't blame us) man for like at least 5 mins? So funny, cos they were hugging in this we-are-not-going-to-see-each-other-again way... But that place at night is quite good for couples, though the weather abit hot. So stone until 10pm then we make our way back. On the way, saw an ex DHS friend, then on the way to Suntec carpark (cos i took Zhiwei's car back), saw Raymond and Joy. How 巧 is that? I must say Joy is getting prettier while Raymond...hmm, never mind. 哈啦 for don't know how long and we finally said good bye. And the stupid auto pay machine was out-of-order when we were about to make payment...

Nevertheless, i quite enjoyed it cos it just feels good with old friends. Yupz, as simple as that.

And the winner is...
Ruben Studdard?! How could this be? i want CLAY !! why~~ boo hoo... And the difference was only 1000 130,000 votes...i don't believe this man... Wail... Made me watch for so long and tell me that Ruben is the winner... Sigh... i was frantically tearing my hair when cutie Ryan announced. i didn't like Ruben's version of Imagine or Flying Without Wings at all...And watching him perspire like mad doesn't make me comfortable either. Feel so sad for Clay...Hai~ Before the show, i was in this almost-want-to-cry mood but watching American Idol helps...and they had to give me such a result...damn.

To make matters worse, Kazaa gave me Harry Porter when i asked for Matrix...darn it. Anyone who has the Matrix Reloaded movie, please send it to me through ICQ...

It's all about choice
i really should learn to stop expecting too much from films...like today's Matrix Reloaded. Ok, maybe it was the cinema's fault, GV Tampines is lousy compared to others... Next is my seat... i'm sitting near the entrance, so all the sound effects don't really get to my ears, but then that may be due to the lousy cinema... What else... yes, the audience. People who came in late, that's one bad habit i really peeved. There's this stupid kid who kept wanting to poo poo and running in and out of the cinema and the mum huh, felt like asking her to get out with the kid. And not forgetting those who forgot to switch their handphones to silent mode. Of course, if the film was really good, all that wouldn't have bothered me. There were a couple of 'duh' scenes that make me wonder why did they even include it in... Like the one when that woman demand a kiss from Neo. Dumb. And Neo doing his 'Superman' thingy. Dumb again. Then the super long and super cheem talk with the old man in the white room... Of course, there are some scenes i like... Like Neo fighting 100 Agent Smith...帅呆了, especially when his trench coat flap here and there... Oh, did i mentioned that i found the keymaker quite cute? Haha, cos he short mah, then with all his keys dangling, then he run with all the keys clanging... At the end of the film, my parents were clueless about the whole thing despite watching Matrix before, haha. And i didn't stayed on to watch the trailer for the 3rd installment cos i figure i couldn't stand 6 mins of Linkin Park + Marilyn Manson + POD etc.

Moral of story? Don't have high expectations.

No soft drinks at night
Today met 2 JC friends for dinner and chit chat...Ate at Sakae sushi then went to Spotlight to shop...So we walked from wheelock place to orchard point. Spotlight has this closing down sale and most items are having 20% discount... Good excuse to pick up my unfinished cross stitch so that i can buy the DMC thread cheaper... First i have to find where is my cross stitch... By the way people, they closing on 31st May, so grab all the art and craft stuff... i suppose there are no more such shops left unless you count the one in Chinatown as one, but they sell cheena art and craft.

Anyway, after that, we sat down at BK where i ordered coke and fries...That regular coke was obviously not my kind of 'regular' lor... As usual, i started shivering, not to mention that i was wearing something not very warm...And the consequence is having a stomache now... My stomach hurts as i type this, ouch.

*returns from bathroom 10 min later*

Someone remind me not to drink soft drinks at fast food restaurants anymore. Sigh, it's starting to hurt again...

Another countdown
Sigh, just when we are about to be claimed SARS free, another case had to pop out...My neighbour hasn't returned from her trip to don't-know-where. Hopefully not one of the SARS infected areas...Otherwise i will spray chlorine out of my window when she return...cos her room is directly opposite my room...But then i'm starting to enjoy shopping @ orchard road on a SUNDAY...like today...for once, i do not have to squeeze with people at Robinsons at their regular "the sale worth waiting for". And for once, the Q at the 内在美 section is surprisingly short.

But one complaint though...i brought my Mambo watch to the outlet at Heerens to see what could be done about my damaged strap...A nice lady there told me i could nothing about it as Mambo doesn't sell original straps unlike Swatch. Now what's there to complain? Cos weeks ago, i walked into the same shop and ask a guy there about my problem. He told me to bring my watch down and see if anything could be done. Freaking idiot...he could just told me on the spot that nothing could be done, unless my description was BAD? My mum was scolding him stupid...out of earshot of course...As i walked out of Mambo, i noticed my watch stopped ticking...sigh, it must be sad. Loved that watch, always used it for exams...Maybe i should just change the batteries and forget about the strap...

Unchained melody
Yesh, Clay Aikens made it through again...Hehe. But i didn't know the show started at 7.30pm, was still at Bugis. Bleah. Made me miss Clay singing Vincent, but then heard it wasn't good cos he forgot the lyrics or something, i think. But his rendition of Unchained melody was good, though my brother said that Justin's version was better, for those who watched, you know. But heck, my brother always oppose me. Go Clay!! Kick Rubben out next week!!

You may have noticed that my blog is being decorated with alot of things, latest addition is the cursor trailer and the change of the comment template...Feel so vain now, still thinking of what i can add. Have decided to change the "song of the month" to "song of the fortnight", haha... Which means i must often check up on cd updates and listening to more different genres of music, no more bubblegum pop!! Hmm, that sounds abit too harsh...Shall take it back.

Oh yes, finally went to Muji after weeks and weeks and weeks of dreaming to go there... But sigh, the shop is so damn small...compared to Japan...(everyone : yes, we know, you rich kid) Sorry, but it's really small what... so many people squeezing at the stationery section... Aniwae, i only bought a packet of tidbits, rice crackers actually. Price didn't differ much. In yen, it's 140. But in Japan, the 5% GST is not included in the price tag, so add 5% to 140 gives you 147. Convert to Sing dollars, (100 yen = S$1.40) it should cost $2.06. Singapore Muji sells it for $2.50. Pretty ok i guess. As for my stationery spree, will buy when school re-opens...shall revamp my pencil case.

Recently i'm desperately trying to finish the film in my Lomo camera which out of 36 exposures, i only took 16. Die, and the film has been inside for don't know how many months...hope mould haven't grown on it. In case you people are wondering what the heck is a Lomo camera... go here. My camera is the one on the left, with the chrome finishing. The problem is, Singapore don't have much places to shoot, and i feel stupid taking pictures when i'm not a tourist. Like today, i feel stupid taking the Bugis foundation...but i really want to experiment with my camera...sigh~

Everybody's fool
Evanescence

Perfect by nature
Icons of self indulgence
Just what we all need
More lies about a world that

Never was and never will be
Have you no shame don't you see me
You know you've got everybody fooled

Look here she comes now
Bow down and stare in wonder
Oh how we love you
No flaws when you're pretending
But now i know she

Never was and never will be
You don't know how you've betrayed me
And somehow you've got everybody fooled

Without the mask
Where will you hide
Can't find yourself
Lost in your lies

I know the truth now
I know who you are
And i don't love you anymore

Never was and never will be
You don't know how you've betrayed me
And somehow you've got everybody fooled

It never was and never will be
You're not real and you can't save me
Somehow now you're everybody's fool

Woo hoo !!
i'm so proud of myself. See that "song of the month" thingy? i took almost a week to do that. So people, go ahead and try! The 56k users will be able to see another effect that the LAN, cable and broadband people can't, cos it's sort of a loading effect. Meaning when you're loading the flash, an effect will appear, hopefully. Heh heh. Actually i'm not that smart, in fact, i might be still working on it if not for the help of someone. i tried to self learn flash mx, but the darn program was too complex, i swear it's worse than Visual Basic. So i thick-skinned went to email the webmaster of a website where i saw the flash that i wanted to do, hoping that he would help me. And he did! This shows that there are some kind souls in Singapore, haha. (read : 12 May 2003 Streats) So he sent me a tutorial file, and i followed the technique and viola! So in appreciation, i put a link to his page "Jay Art Concept". Thanks Jim !!

Now, a little bit more about the song...Initially i wanted to put "Bring me to life", but i guess most people would have heard it, so i replace with "Everybody's fool". It's rock with a female vocal whom they say she's the female Linkin Park. But i don't like Linkin Park leh, hmm, never mind. The sound quality lousy right, but bo bian, to make the file smaller, i have to compromise the quality. Should i update the song every 2 weeks? Listen to 1 song for a month quite boring hor? Let me think about that...

i always forget to write this. Dawn, good luck for your coming exams and most importantly, your driving test! Cos i'm waiting to be your passenger when you come back for summer... Hehe...

Land Ahoy! @ 10:46 AM

Move that butt off your chair
Had a nice cold shower after my exercise regimen. Yesh, your eyes are functioning well. EXERCISE. Now, you may wonder why jin yi exercised when she has mentioned before that she hates any activities that make her perspire? Cos, 蔡依林小姐 mentioned before that she grew taller by 2 cm after she started skipping. But she still looks short isn't she? Anyway, so i decided to skip as well... but alas, i could only do 250 skips. That's like half the number i could used to do a few years back. Sad. Never mind, i believe i can make progress. So i ventured on to the treadmill. (yes, i have a treadmill in my house) Eh, but i didn't run on it, i walked on it. Heh heh. A total of 1.24km while listening to my MP3 player.

Realise i have been lacking exercise for a long time... But i still want to swim. The wonders of being able to burn off calories without perspiring. And swimming helps to expand your lung capacity faster. At least that's what i think. So those people who haven't got exercise for the past donkey years, go do some form of it. If jin yi can do it, so can you. Haha.

And oh, i'm working on something big, ok, not big as in BIG, but big as in, i took alot of effort to get it done. It'll be up here in a few days' time, so watch out for it.
Ok, got to watch AZIO entertainment news liao, bye.

Emotions
What a day. Earlier part of the day, i just agreed to learn driving. God, what am i getting myself into? The thought of shifting gears and stepping on the brakes just shun me. Mum, you better not regret forcing me to learn driving. Sigh, and i'm not even getting a Ferrari for it. Those who want to learn can join me eh, most probably at the Bukit Batok there. Eunos will kill me. Sigh, the more i think about it, the more i feel like backing out. Why can't i be just a passenger for my whole life? Hai~ wait until i pass my advanced theory test then worry lar.

One hour was spent cleaning my room, urm, actually my desk only. And dear mum was happily helping me to clean and taking every item from my desk and asking "这个可以丢了吗?" while i just sat there and nodded and stared into blank space. My desk looks empty with my PC and the 17 inch monitor moving their way to the attic.

To make my day even worse, i tried to download X2 from Kazaa. The first time i got Anger Management. The file is named Xmen and i got Anger Management? Hello... Never mind, second time, i got Lord of the Rings. That does it. So i gave up and went to download 2 Weeks Notice instead. Haven't check it out yet.

The night was better cos of American Idol. The wonderful Bee Gees theme and the all magical Clay Aikens. Ultimately it will be between Clay and Ruben but honestly, Clay will fit the cd cover better right? Hehe.

Hello, Mr Anderson
After 3 weeks of being deprived of shopping, today finally went to TM to jalan jalan. Bought a pair of Charles & Keith shoes? sandals? slippers? Whatever. But then neighbourhood shopping mall no kick, hope this weekend can go Orchard Road or something like that...Haha...

The Matrix Reloaded coming out next Friday !! Must must drag my whole family to watch...Think first week tickets will be sold out...How was the response of the pre-booking? Someone enlighten me? This week's TIME magazine had Matrix on cover but the report was not so interesting, blah. America rated it R, wonder what that equates to here in Singapore. Hopefully not anything above NC16.

Oh, i was flipping through my i-weekly then i saw this advertisement of Beckham endorsing Meji products. Seriously wonder why he took up the offer. *shake head* And the advert is in Japanese somemore. That day at Parkway Giant i saw his life size poster and drooling at it until i saw the product. Meji chocolate? Got to be kidding me. But alas i don't eat chocolate with almond or macadamia, sorry Becks. Anyway, later this couple saw the poster too and the lady went on to kiss Becks' face. Argh. Oh my god, just went to the Meji website, they actually did a tv commercial?! Someone tell me why am i not born in Japan... Hmm, maybe i'll buy a box, ask my dad to eat then i keep the box (cos got his face on it). Okok, i'm trying to be sane here.

becks, don't move to spain. i can't imagine myself watching spanish football.

Start of holidays
Ah... Finally my blog is done. Can't believe i managed to decipher all the HTML crap (cos i wanted to change my layout). Ok, i admit i stole the template from somewhere but i did changed some stuff...

Oh, anyway, the purpose of this blog is for the people whom i don't see often, talk to often. Feel free to leave comments, see the ice-cream thingy? Hehe...

It was a nice week to begin with cos my exams are over ! Manchester United got at least a silverware for this season and over the weekend, Ferrari won the Spanish Grand Prix with their new racing car... Someone get me a Ferrari sportscar and i swear i will learn driving... Hehe...

i want to talk about this guy called David Blaine, some of you may know him through telly... Anyway he's a magician and he's soo charming... Not like David Copperfield those kind you know, cos his magic is of a different scale... For those who don't know who the heck he is and you happen to have LAN, cable or broadband connection, go to Kazaa and download the following shows : Street Magic, Magic Man, Frozen In Time and Vertigo. i assure there's no those kind of normal cheapo tricks... i shall not keep on rambling about him... i bet the guys are complaining already, hmph.

One of the better looking pictures, he just don't look good in photos...hai~
