Happy new year everyone! Could have gone with my brother to watch the fireworks at the Esplanade, but i was too lazy to drag my feet out of the house again after reaching home from Orchard. So spent the night watching LOTR 1 on HBO and then watched Singapore countdown at Sentosa, then Taiwan countdown. Haha...not very happening huh.

Feeling abit apprehensive about the coming year, with the new school term, having to cope once again with all that workload plus social relations... Let's hope 2004 will be peaceful year with the exciting sports events happening. Of cos first and foremost will be the 2004 Olympics, where i can watch Ian Thorpe swim like a thorpedo. And Formula 1 will resume in March, followed by the Australia Open when we can expect some great tennis. The only not so good thing about 2004 is most probably the fact my friends will be turning 21, meaning value of presents will increase. =p

Oh well, who can speak of the future anyway, enjoy 2004.

More photos
Don't know what's wrong with Village Photos, my background picture cannot show... Going to find another image hosting service, meanwhile bear with the ugly layout...

And yes, i finally finished my second roll of film for my lomo camera. Results weren't great cos wrong type of film was used. Never mind, lomography is all about experimenting.

No more ads
Heh heh, finally got rid of that irritating and ugly ad above and replace it with an ad designed by yours truly. Looked quite professional eh. =) So that space will be used to promote new releases of albums or movies by my idols. Not that i'm trying to covert you people into andy lau or jay chou or vic chou fans, i'm using another way to spread the works of these artistes. Haha... Gosh i actually feel so proud of myself for being able to come up with this idea... Someone tell me i'm not crazy.

Chrip chrip
Boxing day was spent at the Jurong Birdpark (JBP) instead of joining the Singapore crowd for the post Christmas sales. Many people have declared me as crazy when they heard about my JBP trip, and so, you can't imagine how happy i was when QX agreed to go with me. It so beats better sitting down at a cafe and yak and yak and yak... One should do something different once in a while. So we reached JBP around 1pm plus after having lunch at Jurongpoint Mac, then we realise JBP also have Mac. Bleah. Anyway, we bought tickets using my brother's 25% discount coupon and went in. Weather was good, but it got very hot for a certain period and luckily there was this humming bird section nearby which is air-conditioned. In 3 hours, we covered the whole park and watched 3 bird shows. Took alot of photos, with QX's digicam and my lomo. i'm surprised quite alot of people visit the JBP and there were Singaporeans as well... Anyway it was fun, marvelling at the some of the beautiful birds, getting out in the sun which i haven't done for quite some time. Of course nice company as well, heez, have to mention cos he paid for my lunch and my JBP entrance fee. Wanted to pay for my lunch but he say it's a treat. What a dear friend. But we didn't managed to see peacocks, my brother say got...xianz. After that went back to Jurongpoint when it started raining, weren't we lucky? Shopped around for his soccer boots and we saw the Bryan Wong and Kym Ng doing their SNAP show. After that took the long train ride to Bugis where my family was. QX got off at Dover which result in this guy sitting down beside me, dozing off on the way and his head threatening to land on my shoulder a few times.

Then today was spent meeting up with my 2D clique at Orchard (yes, Orchard again, haha). The usual updates about each other's lives and recalling the old days... LZ left 1/2 way to join her Sec 4 class for dinner while we waited for Trish's boyfriend to come cos he was going to pick her up. Nice guy, not becos he sent us home as well, haha, but becos he wasn't what i thought out to be. Appearances can be deceiving. Maybe becos he also chinese speaking, so level of acceptance is higher... haha... Mainly cos i not used to conversing with people in total english. Oh, Coffee Club mudpie is good, big, nice and cheaper than NYDC...Should go there more often...haha... So was the Garlic Prawn pasta which i found too spicy for my liking, but prawns are my weakness...so there. And YR and Trish are very enthusiastic about the idea of coming over my house during the CNY period. Bet they come for the red packet lor... haha... Trish even suggest bringing her Karaoke vcds and hold KTV session at my house... best...

All these were taken with QX's camera. Choose only 10 out of 100 plus shots. Mine will be uploaded later.

Tis the season to be jolly
Merry Christmas everyone! My neighbour 2 houses away is having this huge entourage carolling at their house now. My mum says there is at least a tour bus load full of them. Went out to hear them. Carolling gives people a fuzzy sort of feeling. Maybe because i was familiar with the hymns that they sing, thanks to my 6 years at St. Hilda's Primary. My mum even ask whether i want to sit at the garden and listen to the whole thing. Haha...

Yesterday went to watch one of the ultimately best films by far, LOTR. Besides having good centre seats and good audience (no brawling babies) and good sound system (Cineleisure), the entire 3 hour plus film was like an adventure. Thumbs up. And i swear the girl beside me was crying when Frodo had to leave Middle Earth. Heez... don't know why i wasn't touched though. And people started clapping when the film ended and the most funny thing is when Legolas (Orlando Bloom) appeared at the credits, girls began cheering. Haha...

Oh yes, this morning's bidding was terrible. Practically in a frantic mood, icq-ing friends about their modules and slots. In the end have to replace one module with another which i might be taking alone. Sigh... Now i have to hope the best for my Japanese language and another GEM. Otherwise i don't know what other modules i can take liao. What's wrong with the good old balloting system...hai~ at least i have more luck in balloting.

In another week's time, start of the new year, start of a new school term. What will await me? Will there be a drastic change in my life? Or will it continue the way it is? We'll have to take it as it goes, aint it?

梦的起点
BAD

No good albums recently, so just anyhow pick a "ok" song...

Dread Anger
Yes, i checked my exam results 3 hours and as you can tell from the title that i'm not happy and i still am not.

Introduction To Cybercrime : A
Management Science : B+
Finance : B
Computing And Society : B
Managerial Accounting : C+

Introduction To Cybercrime : Frankly speaking, it's a relatively easy module. 100% CA, no projects, just 2 tests. Never regret giving up my Japanese language to bid for this module. Never waste my energy going down to school on Saturday for its weekly 3 hour lecture. Wonder if the 3 people i know during the course will regret taking the S/U option anot.
Management Science : Expected my CA to pull me up. Alas, don't even have A-. And it's also an easy module, with no project. Very disappointed.
Finance : This was the last paper. Was putting my hopes on this paper after being through all the crap previously. In the end, only got a B.
Computing And Society : Getting a B is what i deserved. Cos i didn't put in effort into my CA, resulting in pulling down my eventual result. If not for my marvellous project score, this module is dead meat.
Managerial Accounting : This module sucks totally. Gave bad feedback for it. And so i was totally prepared to get a C for it.

So what am i so angry about? Firstly, i only got 1 A, which secondly, pulled my CAP down to 3.93, which thirdly means that i can throw away hope for honours. Fourthly, the A is for a non-business module, which makes me wonder what am i doing in a business course which ultimately leads to the question of whether i should do a double major. If i do a double major, it will be Marketing and Finance. Finance is for people who are smart, not for people like me. Yet a combination of Marketing and Logistics will be weird. Then comes the question of what is the purpose of doing a double major? Cos i have no idea what i want to major. Then double major will allow me to study for 1 more semester. Then dad also don't mind me taking double major. Especially now since my hope of honours is gone, SEP i think also no hope of going liao cos of my mum, a double major will be the next best thing. Decisions, decisions, i hate them.
Anyway, want to thank those who expressed their concern when the results were released. HH, QX, jX and RY. Was sms-ing to the four of them all at the same time. All of them did well, so QX is paying for our Jurong birdpark outing while i'm going to treat jX to dim sum cos i lost the wager. As my mum say, work harder for next semester and cut down on tv. i will try on the tv part.

Results will be released in 3.5 hours. Yucks, yucks, yucks. Just don't expect too much and i won't be disappointed... Well, i'm not like someone who can get 5 As out of 7 modules you know... Very stressed to have you as a friend you know... But smart is smart lar, cannot help. People like me can only mug and hope for the best. 3.25 hours left.

For the third time,
Andy Lau failed to clinch the Best Leading Actor award for the Taiwan Golden Horse Awards. Sad lar, all his fans were rooting for him so loudly, only to let the award being taken by Tony Leung who didn't even attend the event. It's even more frustrating when every time he is nominated, people will put so much attention on him, giving him high hopes that he might win, only to be disappointed later... Although he says his fans will be more disappointed than him, i do believe he's quite xianz as well. i admit Andy is not a talented actor unlike Tony Leung, but he is hardworking and he has tried hard to put away his "Andy Lau" image in his recent movies. Well, i hope next year he will have the chance to win that award with his acting in Infernal Affairs 3 (though i haven't watched yet).
i think the tv station in charge of the awards, TVBS should really try to solve the over-run problem. One simple award ceremony can last for 3.5 hours, i really admire those people sitting down there. Especially those who never win anything, like my poor Andy. And the programme is so boring, midway i switched to HBO to watch 1 hr of the Lord of the Rings. That's when i missed "Homerun" getting an award for Best Newcomer, that little girl. At last Jack Neo did something better than the Monday Comedy Night. Sorry, but i totally hate his variety show.
Ok lar, that pretty sums up my Saturday night, enjoy the remaining weekend.

The worst thing one can do...
is to let your parents worry. My brother has been well and unwell for the past few days and this evening me and my mum brought him to the clinic. The doctor suspect it might be a case of dengue fever, suggest we bring him to do a blood test tomorrow at East Shore. Hopefully, it's not dengue. He didn't have a mossy bite... But his fever kept coming and going... He also never listen lar, before chalet already not well, still want to go and stayed over for two nights somemore... My dad is trying to get a plane ticket to get back home from China tomorrow... My mum said most of the time my dad goes overseas, something will happen to my brother. And this is the time when you will find knowing how to drive is a useful skill... So one should pick up all the skills while you can yah, never know when you might need them. Meanwhile take care of yourselves people.

Had a hard time choosing a song from the album to introduce to you all... He had this really cute song that i like but scared you people might not accept it so chose a ballad, to be safe. But then frankly speaking, the ballads in his album are not that outstanding cos most are korean compositions. i have this thing against singers singing songs that are composed by koreans or japanese. Just think that if you are chinese, you're cutting out a chinese album, you should get chinese musicians to do the album.
Ok done with the song. i realised not many people know who is 罗志祥. So i shall do a short biography. 罗志祥 aka 小猪 aka Show (derived from his jap name), 24 years old, 180 cm tall, a Leo, been in the showbiz for 9 years. Started out with a group called 四大天王 where he imitated Aaron Kwok. Then the group split up, he and a guy, 欧汉声 form a group called 罗密欧 (notice got both their surnames inside?). Meanwhile, they got do some hosting. That's the time when i noticed Show cos he looked abit like Daniel Chan at that time. Then 欧汉声 had to do NS, so disbanded and Show concentrated on hosting, partly also he had contract problems with his manager (who manages 5566 now), make him cannot cut albums. So now his contract is solved, he returned to singing, his first favourite. He's very sweet to his fans, cos i joined this forum of his and without fail everyday, he will be online, seeing the messages that fans left and sometimes he left messages about his day or his upcoming activities. i rarely see artistes doing this, so i'm quite impressed. Right now, i'm waiting for him to come here then buy the album in case Avex Trax play cheat, come up with second edition with autograph pass inside...

good old days
i love outings where there are just 4 or less people meeting up for a meal or anything. Like today. Had dinner with HH and XB cos it's HH's birthday. Happy birthday! Before that walked around chinatown with the birthday girl cos XB only knock off at 6pm. And i realise chinatown really got nothing unless it's the new year. Then we proceed to walk to the new HANS restaurant near the China Square. Very nice, very spacious. We sat there for 3 hours. Yupz, just 3 hours chatting about everything under the sun, about school, about people, about guys, about 21st birthdays... And becos there're only 3 of us, each of us will listen attentively to one another, unlike in a big group which i will most probably remain silent and listen to people. Not that big groups are not fun, it's just that i like interaction without distractions... Don't think you understand what i saying huh.

That is why i missed my secondary school and JC friends and no matter what, i will try to meet up with them during the holidays. To some it may seem like a routine, like oh, it's the holidays, time to meet up. But to me, if a person doesn't matter, i will not bother meeting them up, let alone taking time out to plan a date to meet them. i know some friends may not view me as importantly as i view them but it's alright. My attitude towards friends has always been : it's ok if you can't help me when i need you, but i will be always be there for you. Three cheers for my friends.

sick.
Few might know that i had a weird "sore" throat for the past 3 days which developed into a mild cough and flu and i'm kind of feeling abit feverish. Hmm... Yesterday slept too late. My fault. Somemore it's that time of the month. Xianz. Anyway, today i resumed my driving lessons and finally i got to use the screen wiper for the first time! Cos today we drove to Ang Mo Kio, and on the way had a driver horned at me =p, me stalling several times =p, and basically quite reckless. Anyway, it was not fun using the wiper at all cos i can't see anything with the stupid rain splashing across my view! Somemore it wasn't those kind of heavy rain...
So far the holidays have been ok, meeting up with friends and all that, until my dear friend jX told me about his results. 3 As for his core modules. How can i match that. He's definitely getting a treat from me. But he was sweet enough to promise to treat me if i don't get any As... Hai~ Not that i'm not happy for him, it's just me. Where did my hard workingness go? It's like the only thing for the past years i have achieved (not that it's very great), but now it seems that i have nothing to look forward to. Ok, i think i'm blabbering, must be the flu.
For now i'm a happy girl cos i'm downloading 2 albums at the same time. Wu Bai and Luo Zi Xiang (Show)! At least got new music to listen liao... Anyone happen to have tickets to the ABC Stout Concert that Harlem Yu and Wu Bai will be performing? i want to watch Wu Bai...
