Been too lazy to really blog about anything, but i want to talk about words of concern. Sometimes a true word of concern from people can make one feel so loved. No wonder they always say concern can make a suicidal person better. But don't worry, i'm not. Just that Monday my MSN nick was "i am stupid and clumsy. =(". 3 out 5 people who talked to me asked if there's anything wrong with me. And it made me feel better. Well you see, Monday morning i was cleaning my glass shelves in my room cos they were getting real dusty when one piece fell off and knocked against the second lower piece and both landed on the floor and shattered. My mum, downstairs shouted what happened and with great speed came up with a vacuum cleaner. Frankly i was abit shaken and didn't know my toe was cut until i see blood. My mum was very concerned about the glass shreds in my soft toys which was placed on the floor and wanted to throw them away. i caused the mess so i couldn't say anything but when she put Small D and Tweetoy
(read footnote 1) into the plastic bag, i almost cried on the spot. i think my mum knew it and so she asked which are the ones i wanted to keep. i picked those 2 and also those given by friends. Then later i went to bathe and discovered i was also cut on the index finger. As the day pass and with friends consoling, i felt better. i must learn to express my concern more for people. =)
1. Small D and Tweetoy are these 2 small puppy soft toys that my dad's British friend gave to me like 10 years ago. i love them alot cos they remind me of my childhood days so much, even though Tweetoy's only left with 1 eye and Small D had stitches all over.

So many things, ok first thing first. i did my first test drive of my life this evening yea. Too bad it wasn't a Benz or BMW. It was Korean car, Hyundai Matrix. And you must be thinking, so, you must be getting a car for real this time ya? Well, maybe not, but let's talk about the test drive. The car was ok, of cos not as stable as my dear daddy's car, but it's drive-able. Just that my mum say that they felt like sitting on a bus in the rear seats cos it's elevated. And another negative side, the speedometer is placed to my left, not in front of me. i can't see the freaking speed! But overall, it's aii. Maybe i'll go back tomorrow to test drive the Getz which is smaller. Now COE prices dropping, the list price for Matrix dropped like 4000 thousand plus. But we need to pay additional $700 per month for that new car. i only can afford it for like 6 months with my savings man. Maybe less, including petrol. Freaking expensive. But why are there still so many cars on the road?
Anyway, i finally found out that Jielun's new album will not change edition (official news from Alfa). Char was nice to call me that day to ask if i wanted her to help me pre-order his album. i didn't want for fear that they will change edition sometime later you know, cos Alfa had not announce that they will not change edition. And in contrast to previous albums where i will download his new songs when they come out before the album does, i'm trying my best this time to curb the temptation. Cos i want to fully enjoy the album when i get it on 3 Aug. Then this afternoon, in the car, 933 fm broadcasted his new song. i immediately covered my ears to prevent the song getting into my ears. Haha...sounds stupid right. i wanted to ask my mum to change the channel but i figure that will sound stupid. But anyway i think Jielun is so determined to let me listen to his new song that... when i was having dinner at this Chinatown restaurant, the radio played his new song again! And this time i can't cover my ears and look like an idiot right. Sigh.

Lost Without You
Darren Hayes
i know i can be a little stubborn sometimes
i might say a little righteous and too proud
i just want to find a way to compromise
Cos i believe that we can work things out
i thought i had all the answers
Never giving in
Baby i was wrong
i admit that i was wrong
All i know is i'm lost without you
i'm not gonna lie
How am i gonna be strong without you
Need you by my side
If we ever say we never be together and we ended with good bye
i don't know what i'll do
You know i'll be lost without you
i keep trying to find my way
But all i know is i'm lost without you
i keep trying to face the day
Lost without you
How am i ever gonna get rid of these blues
Baby i'm so lonely all the time
Everywhere i go i get so confused
You know that you're the only thing that's on my mind
Oh my bed's so cold at night
i miss you more each day
Only you can make it right
No i'm not too proud to say
If i can only hold you now
Make the pain just go away
Can't stop the tears from running down my face
There's a short story as to why i choose this song, hehe... so bear with me for a while. It's time for Jinyi's bedtime stories. A while i was following the Wimbledon. Besides getting to see the players and tennis balls, you sometimes also get to see the partner of the players. So a certain match between Mark Philippoussis (an aussie player) and someone else, i saw this girl with looks that shone. Literally. It's like she had this aura around her or something, couldn't stop staring at her. She looked like this at that time :
She looked good with short hair, not many people can look that good. Then the commentator mentioned that she is Delta Goodrem, Mark's girlfriend. i found her name to be very familiar, so i went to check the internet later that night and realised she was the one who sang the rainbow song for Australia's tourism advert and Born To Try. i remember the latter song being a hit last time, just that i didn't really notice the song too much. Then i saw "Lost Without You" which is also damn familar cos i heard the live version by Darren Hayes at some website. So i searched for quite a while before i finally found it. i always loved Darren's vocals so it's not hard not to like the song. And there's also a story on why Darren sang Delta's song. He sang it at an award ceremony last year specially for Delta, his friend cos she was battling with some sort of cancer at that time. So sweet ain't it. End of story.

i can sing a
rainbow too... Or in this case, type a rainbow. Sorry for the self amusement there, must be the lack of sleep yesterday. Full credit goes to S, who engaged me in a phone talk that lasted 3 hours. (note : 1.35am - 4.30am) Poor girl had insomnia for the past 2 weeks but we shall not elaborate on the cause. But it's been a while since we had such late night chatting especially when first half of the year she was busy exploring the whole of Europe and checking out the guys there. Hmph. We talked almost about everything last night. Of cos 1 essential topic was guys... haha... and i realised many parents of my single friends are in 1 way or another, nagging at their children to find a partner... hoho...Recently i have this feeling of wanting to fall in love but yet it's not strong enough to lure me out of my comfortable singlehood. i think i have a phobia of interacting with people, haha... My mum thinks i should have given a chance with that computing guy, but when the feeling's not there, it's just not there. Then she very funny, was trying to guess how many suitors i had. Haha... she say with the tremendous amount of bad habits i have, i should be secretly laughing that people will like me. Hoho... what nonsense. S then commented about a certain stage of my love life which cannot be revealed here... hehe... it's between the both of us. i didn't know she felt much more than me about that loss. Frankly i got over it quite quickly when i made up my mind at that time... Makes me wonder whether i'm too heartless. Haha... but clinging on to memories was a phase in my life that i didn't like, so maybe that's what made me get over things quickly after that. Then i began to wonder why my JC life didn't appear any potential. i actually think that i was in my best condition during JC in my course of life so far. Haha.... i had little acne problem, my hair despite being tied up everyday, was straight and relatively silky, my studies were ok, so why no-one like me huh? Haha... it's a question i still ponder until today.
Enough of relationships cos i can just go on and on about it. Next agenda was of cos gossip! You can't avoid gossip when you put 2 girls together. And so we went about updating each other on the latest "news", bitching about people, ok i was doing more bitching. But this part of the conversation was the most enriching... haha... made me realise i have been missing out too much! But the rest of you don't kpo and come ask me about it huh... hehe...
Ok moving on, this last part has to be the most... how should i say. When it will reflect abit of our mature thinking, muahaha... Me and S are going to embark on a very AMBITIOUS plan for the new semester. Actually S's plan will be more ambitious... hehe. She'll be aiming for 5.0 CAP score so as pull up her CAP to qualify for honours. Well, i want to pull up my CAP too, but i'm not really too keen on the honours program you know. My brother was saying my current CAP score is just that a little bit off from the requirement but from 3.89 jump to 4.0 needs sort of a miracle also leh. i have worked out my plan. There're 2 methods to go about it.
1. (a) get A A A B B
(b) get A A B+ B+ B+
2. (a) get A A B+ B+ S/U
i realise s/u does help to pull up your CAP in some way, in contrary to what i thought at first. If i had my drugs and society graded last semester and it's a B, my CAP will be lower than 3.89. So i can stop regretting about taking s/u option for that. Heez. Method 2 looks easier to achieve aint it, just concentrate on that 4 modules. Then maybe i can consider taking Japanese 2 which Heda has been psycho-ing me the whole of yesterday to take it. To achieve such results we have to be nerds for the next semester and the next and the next and the next. S has assigned me the job of reminding her of her 5 As goal, must push her to the max. Maybe i should be a nerd too, and in the event that i might qualify for honours, i will decide what to do then.
Meanwhile my dear friend, GANBANTTE !! *chants* 5As, 5As, 5As, 5As, 5As...

Head pain... came back from the commencement ceremony of the Bizad faculty today. What was i doing there? Well, i went down to help LL out with the DnD ticket sales. Woke up early in the morning and drove without a very clear mind and got stuck in the morning jam. *yawn* Reached before 9am. Went into UCC slightly before 10am to set up booth. Watched people with grandparents, parents, siblings, boyfriends, girlfriends take photo here, take photo there. UCC was freaking cold. Basically quite zuo boh cos it's hard to get graduates to come for DnD except for those seniors we know and who are basically the more xiao on one. The graduates were spilt into 2 sessions, by alpha order. So next year most of my friends will be in the same session as me, hehe... And i realised something. Cos there's a girl who is called Tan Jing Yi so, she will be behind me in the queue and you can imagine the same name being called twice. Luckily i'm in front. Haha... unless she take honours... Hmm, i think abit too far hor, but me and LL were like saying must pass with merit which is better than pass. So i must make sure my CAP doesn't go below 3.5. Hehe... Second session i went to watch the ceremony cos my friend want me to help her film parts of the ceremony, so i sat at the front row in jeans and a jacket while everyone around me is dressed to the nines. Furthermore, me and LL were planning who to invite to the ceremony, and must bring what. So i think besides my family, i would like my aunt to come along, the one who came for my birthday and maybe grandma but most probably she wouldn't come, and maybe boyfriend if i have one, hehe... LL say must try to get a boyfriend by next year... wah... Then must bring camera, videocamera, then must ask papa to buy flowers for me... Sunflowers! And this cute bear in a graduation robe and cap! They were selling the bears, me and LL were so tempted to buy one home, hoho... i took a picture with it cos my friend bought it for her boyfriend... So kawaii!! Damn, i shouldn't be thinking of graduating, i don't want to work!

Everybody's Changing
Keane
You say you wander your own land
But when i think about i don't see how you can
You're aching and breaking
And i can the pain in your eyes
Says everybody's changing
And i don't know why
So little time
Try to understand that i'm
Trying to make a move just to stay in the game
i try to stay awake and remember my name
But everybody's changing
And i don't feel the same
You're gone from here
Soon you'll disappear
Fading into beautiful light
Cos everybody's changing
And i don't feel right
It's easy to see why i like this song. It all boils down to the lovely piano in the music arrangement. i saw the MV on MTV channel and i was stuck to the tune, so immediately went to download the album. Sadly i couldn't really appreciate the rest of the album, so i deleted the other songs. But the lead singer is abit too clean shaven for an alternative band. Think Martin from Coldplay. Sadly i can't fully appreciate Coldplay too, even though i love the use of piano in their music arrangement. i got 2 more songs on my recommend list and i can't wait to let you all hear it, meanwhile enjoy this song.

Freaky! Can't say i was traumatised, but there's a slight tinge of trauma involved. So what's the heck i'm talking about? My papa called home this morning when i just finished breakfast. My mum picked up the phone and said that my papa's going to bring me to Ubi later to drive a car home that he had bought. So i had to quickly bathe. Then we went to Ubi, the place where they sell alot of second hand cars. My dad bought a Nissan March for his employees cos he recently got a project for HDB to upgrade the doors for the Hougang area. Bingo, i'm supposed to drive that Nissan home on my own. What a lovely idea, given that it's a second hand of 8.5 years and on top of that, it's manual!! It's freaking manual! My dad first tested the car by driving round Ubi area. Then he parked at a carpark and i'm supposed to wait for his car to come down before i move off. Then i see his car, i shifted into first gear and damn, i couldn't release the handbrake cos my dad pulled it up too tight. So he had to help me with the handbrake before i could move off. Scary sia, 2 months never drive manual liao, i stalled twice cos i forgot about the clutch when i braked to stop the car. And the gear was... And the car was so shaky that if i put my left thigh completely on the seat, it will vibrate like mad. And becos the car is not as stable as my papa's Benz, it felt fast even though i was only doing 40km/h and thus third gear was the fastest i went. My papa was supposed to stay behind me but there's was this stretch of road which i couldn't see his vehicle. Stress! Plus it started to drizzle, double stress! In the end i safely reached home, but i couldn't park properly into my car porch cos i didn't know the turning radius of the damn car. Imagine, i could park a E class Benz into my car porch but not a Nissan March. But there was this sense of freedom as in nobody was beside me to nag at me. Haha... Ok, but it's still scary. To my friends who drive on their own, i salute you!

Either i looked younger than my brother or he looks older than me. Me and my brother have been mistaken for a couple for more than once. Friends who saw me outside thought my brother is my boyfriend. This Chinese New Year my very own cousin thought i had brought my boyfriend along when it's just my brother with his NS cut. And when i went with my brother to collect his 'A' levels results, his classmates didn't really believe that i'm his sister. BUT, those above situations are not the ultimate. You see, i was as usual with my family out at Marina Square last saturday. So, i was walking with my brother, behind my parents when this Malay guy, ( i think the race plays a crucial role here) shoved a brochure to me. It's a freaking brochure for a wedding boutique! Their booth is just beside us. i was stunned and i said, without looking at the guy, "We're...siblings." My brother said he looked stunned or something like that, i can't remember. Then my brother thinks i must have looked old so that he thinks i should be getting married soon. What the. The next person to think that we're a couple will be cursed by me.
Of course there're other things to rejoice about, like Andy's new movie is coming out! ( see above banner ) i don't know the exact date of release, but hey, with Andy and Takeshi inside, the film won't go wrong. Unless Zhang Zhi Yi is powerful enough to spoil the whole film, haha... Anyone knows if the vcd for Jiang Hu is out? i can't seem to find it. And it's been like 3 months since the film was released. The vcd should be out liao...
