Whose parents have UOB Platinum Credit Card? i want to watch this jazz concert at Esplanade on 31st July. And tickets are freaking expensive... If i want the seat i got when i watched Mama Mia last year, it will cost me $98. And it's not even nowhere near the stage lor. Boo hoo... So i think i will settle for a $58 circle seat. UOB Platinum Credit Card holders will have 20% off! But my papa don't have... So whose papa have? Help me and i will be greatly indebted to you... Meanwhile, who want to watch the concert with me? Haha... i'm quite contemplating of watching on my own since nobody likes jazz, especially when this is a singer that most people won't know. John Pizzarelli. i recommended one of his songs eons ago if you guys remember. My brother won't mind going with me but his army schedule not confirmed then scully got standby then pang seh me. If you think 31st July still quite far away, think no need so fast buy tickets lar. But the thing is, cheap tickets get sold out fast. Also cos number of cheap tickets not alot in the first place.

Details of concert
Who the heck is this Pizza guy?

Less than a week ago, i said i won tickets to this :

And so, me and Char arranged to meet at 8.30pm since it starts at 9pm. i was late due to the slow MRT but hey, got mini red carpet outside the cinema. So me and Char decided to wait for the stars to appear... Late they were cos they came from IMM where they had an autograph session. So they came and people started pushing and squeezing. All i could get on my camera are these :

大家好,我是郭富城。(Who's that behind the screen trying to steal my limelight?)

Lee Xinjie, Lo Jia Liang and Director

Stupid head. And Aaron's face looked twisted here...

Signatures. Guy behind screen trying to steal limelight again.

i should have worn heels. But Char has better photos, so shall wait for her to send me. Then we proceed to the cinema where they don't check whether you have tickets anot lor. Wah kao, any cat and dog also can go in and watch leh. Maybe we should try to do that for future gala premieres at Lido, Char. We sat at the 4th row and the cast came once again to say hello!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Didn't listen to what he was saying.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
He had more cheers than Aaron. Way to go!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Not very pretty leh.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com
Now we know how "tall" Aaron is. =p

The cinema was too dark. My flashlight not powerful enough. Flashlights from reporters' cameras didn't help either. If you're wondering why Aaron's shirt look so fugly, it actually looked good on him. i mean, he look good in real life, good-looking enough to temporarily shift your attention from his height or the lack of. Lo Jia Liang just look like himself on TV while i think Lee Xin Jie too skinny? And long hair don't suit her.

Ok, movie starts. It's plain suay to sit beside this couple who have kids calling the dad twice during the show and screaming over the mobile. Wah kao. Kids are terror, terror is kids. Then this ah beng in front also talked so loudly on the phone. Must we start imposing fines on people who talk in cinema before they will learn? That is why i hate paying money to watch movies. Ok, rude people aside. i didn't find the movie good. The plot was not tight enough and it was trying hard to link the 3 male characters together which just weakens the plot totally. The action scenes made up for that error and of cos plus suave Daniel Wu... Overall, won't recommend people to pay to watch this. i never believe in paying money to watch cheena movies anyway. Wait for the VCD lar.

Edited : i forgot to talk about Jolin's new album. Firstly, what's with that cover? Look so pirated. Then i listened online to the album. Three letters : CMI. My prediction is coming true. She'll go downhill without Jielun supporting her in her career. Muahaha. And all that hype about Lee Hom writing a song for her? CMI also.

So pirated...

i am bored. Can't wait for tomorrow's paper to be done so that i can look forward to Aaron Kwok, actually more looking forward to his funny Canto-accented Mandarin. i'm almost done revising on Macro Econs but i'm so worried i'll screw up last min tomorrow. And i'm getting abit quite lost too. What difference does it make to the IS-LM model with misperceptions theory? *blur*

Ah, tonight got CSI : NY. And Beautiful Illusions is getting more exciting. i still don't like Fann Wong though. Bleah...

6th May is going to be 2nd birthday of my blog. Maybe i'll do a revamp of the skin as a birthday present. Readers can give well-wishes by giving some ang bao money... Hoho...

It feels good to have your only graded exam finished at the beginning of the exam period. Ah... And it feels even better to know that you have won something free on that day too. Initially, i wanted to hold a mini contest here on "Give me 10 reasons why you like Aaron Kwok / Daniel Wu / Ekin Cheng", so that i can find someone to share my prize with. Then i realised, not many people read my blog anyway, which greatly reduced the number of contestants. And out of this teeny weeny number of contestants, none of them like the above 3 male stars. Sad. Those 3 need to replan their marketing strategies. So i just asked Char to enjoy my prize with me, since, she doesn't have exam on 28th or 29th and she used to have Aaron Kwok's CD (bet none of you have, haha. anyway i knew that fact after i invited her).

So what exactly have i won? For those who have been burying their heads in books, notes, pillows all this while and have become disconnected with the boring entertainment world, the 3 guys mentioned have a new movie coming up called 三岔口. i won a pair of tickets to the gala premiere which my dad almost threw the letter away... Well, anyway, i gave you the wrong info Char. Not all the 3 guys are coming down, only Aaron Kwok plus Lee Xin Jie and Lo Jia Liang. Ooh, i dun mind seeing Lo Jia Liang since i used to adore his HK serial dramas. But why Daniel Wu not coming? Boo hoo. Never mind, i think there'll be Mediacorp artistes around too? Hopefully Thomas Ong? Hoho... Wait, i forgot he's not fully under Mediacorp. Damn. Anyway, wait for my or Char's report on Wednesday event ya?

Better still if Jielun also come down for Initial D promotion and i win tickets also. Then i can hold contest so that the most fanatic Jay fan will get to watch. Hoho, dreaming...

Horrible me! Me is not studying hard for my Sociology exam. Me is not trying hard to study hard for Sociology exam. Me is still happily watching up to 3 hrs of telly per day. Me is gushing over Thomas Ong due to his new drama, Beautiful Illusions showing on Ch 8. Me regrets throwing away the magazine with Thomas Ong on the cover, cos me can't show you all that the guy looks no different now and 10 years ago. Me is excited about visiting Thomas Ong after exams (chuckles). Me don't care about the fact/rumour that Thomas Ong don't like girls. Me takes a look at Sociology textbook and it tells me it hates me, i hate it too. Me is not going to get A for Sociology. Me is sad and shall seek refuge in telly.

i am a ritualist who lives in a capitalist society govern by legal rational authority. My family is a patriachy one and belongs to the nuclear family form which the state is so actively promoting. Class system exist here, so my life chances depends on achieved characteristics such as merit. i would say my dad is a bourgeois, while i'm a poor proletariat who must sell my labour to some evil firm after i graduate. i feel that Karl Marx's theory will forever hold true for as long as mankind exists and it sucks to be living in such a pathetic world.

But right now, i'm just beginning to hate Sociology. Why didn't i take pass/fail for this?!

16th Taiwan Golden Melody Awards nominations

Well, well, i don't really agree with some of the nominations, but let's see what awards Jielun are nominated for.

Best Chinese Album : Qi Li Xiang
Best Composer : Qi Li Xiang ( i didn't think Qi Li Xiang had the best melody in the album...)
Best Male Singer : Qi Li Xiang

Other indirectly related nominations

Best MV director : Zhi Zhan Zhi Shang & Wai Po
Best Lyricist : Zhi Zhang Zhi Shang

Ok, that's all. See what's missing? Best Chinese Album Producer & Best Music Arrangement. Think he's super upset that he's not in the Producer category. Correct me if i'm wrong, i think he didn't win the Producer award before, did he? With the Fanasty album? Anyway, i think the most likely award he will win is the Best Chinese Album, but there's Stefanie inside there too, so... my guess is he'll be empty handed again this year. Sigh. i love the Qi Li Xiang album leh. One other surprising thing is, David Tao wasn't nominated for any awards. i think it's because he said that he doesn't trust the judges and so refused to attend the ceremony. That's sad cos i think his album was so much better than Wang Lee Hom's one. But never mind, cos Wang Lee Hom also not nominated for Best Producer. Muahaha.

If you interested in other awards, can go to http://www.aziotv.tv/blog/gma_16_6.asp

i am slacking. slacking. i can't wait for exams to be over so that i can go KTV with Qx, go overseas and shop and eat, shop and eat, then meet up with my DHS clique, and meet up with my used-to-be very good friend. But i don't want to graduate also! Boo hoo...

Sigh. Yesterday went to collect my new glasses and the 88 shuai ge was there again. i finally managed to see his name this time. Daniel Q*** Heh, shall not reveal the surname though pretty obvious. But then hor, after much closer look, realised, eh, he's not that shuai after all. i mean the guy in my Socio class was much better lor. Hoho, right Char? So, yup, my interest in 88 guy has started to wane off. Very unfortunate. And i also realised i shouldn't have used glass to make my specs lens cos they're freaking heavy lar. Cos i always thought my current one use glass, but after comparsion with my new one, realised it's plastic ah. Damn. Due to the weight, it keeps slipping off my flat nose and it won't make me look intelligent anymore lar.

Sigh. My brother is such a spendthrift. Period.

Sigh. All i can think of doing now is completing my cross stitch and start a new one. Anyone have the original Me To You cross stitch pattern? i'm getting quite sick of Precious Moments liao.

In response to Char's comment on my seaview from my living room looking like a painting, i smell a business opportunity. i shall charge admission fees to look at the painting. One packet drink will be provided.

突然累了
林俊杰

You're just another part of me

So many albums in April, so i shall start by introducing Lin Jun Jie one first den, FIR sometime later and maybe Sly sometime even later if i can get his album free... Hoho... JJ's album is very easy listening, took me about 3 listens before i could agar agar remember the melodies. i liked the above song the first time i heard it. It's a very ang moh song, which if had English lyrics instead, will be better. Also, it's not very JJ style, so quite refreshing. i like.
