Nooooo~
My poor Ferrero is out in the first round... How can it be? To think he was a finalist back in 2003. Ah~ i thought his form has returned a little bit over the past few months. Boo hoo... i think it's becos he started bringing his not-so-pretty girlfriend to court, so keep losing matches. And he lost to this french guy Arnaud Clement who is more interested in matching his bandana with his clothes and keep wiping off sweat from his Okaley sunglasses after every shot. i absolutely hate that flashy guy! How could you lost to him, Ferrero? 5-7 5-7 1-6 Argh...

But then, there's another great news. Similarly, the 2003 winner Andy Roddick is out! Muahaha... Don't even understand how a guy like him who doesn't know how to play tennis can still stay in the circuit. Ha. Man, would loved to see the shocked faces of the home crowd. Woo hoo...
Oh yes, keep forgetting. Help friend's friend to do some free advertising here. She does this handmade earrings, necklaces and bracelets. Quite nice. Tennis action
i hate tennis that's held half way around the globe becos i'll be sleeping when they're playing. But thank god for my beloved VCR. Ok, so they didn't show Coria's match cos he was playing in a lousy court. But yea, he got through round 1, defeating Felix Mantilla 7-6 6-1 6-3. It's always good to defeat opponents in straight sets so that you don't tire yourself out. Don't know what i'm talking? i think it's sad that people only watch soccer here and whenever the Olympics come, they bug the poor old bodybuilder grandfather cos that's the only medal we have. Oh well, Coria gonna meet a American next (yucks) but luckily he's got a good draw compared to Ferrero who's got Federer along the way. Argh, i'm so sick of Federer winning and winning.

A change?
Been thinking about it. Maybe i'll change the contents for my blog. Think i'll add less of personal emotions, feelings, thoughts that were used to be felt within the inside of my heart before i started blogging. i think it's time to return them to my deepest inside, to my journal, to myself. So expect lots of shallow contents from now on. Don't ask the reason for the change cos i think it's inevitable even it does not happen now.
Started on a new book and i hope it will somehow motivate me, lift me up spiritually. i realise i'm recovering from emotional setbacks faster as i grow. Is it becos i have grown as a person? Or becos i have people around me to help cope better? i don't know. Well, what is almost certain that you readers will not see much of such posts in the future. Have a peaceful week ahead everyone!

Quit?
Yesterday i suddenly had this thought of quitting blogging. After 2 years plus, suddenly i just feel tired. i felt that i had let too many people know too much of me. Felt that maybe it's enough. Maybe i should go back to my journal where i can write and write without having to bother who might be reading. Well, i don't know.

Tiring
This must be my most tiring interview so far... 1/2 hour to get to the place and somemore my dad drove me there. i reached the place like 1/2 hour early cos my papa is a "better super early than a little late" person. Anyway, the company is the one that produces our drama serials lar. So being early, i relaxed at the reception first. And i saw Chong Qing, the radio DJ, not that i really care. Then after a while, i made my way to the HR place and woo, i have never seen so many applicants at one time before. There were about 8 people there. So i sat down, and waited for my turn. Wait, wait, and still got more people coming for the interview. i also met someone whom i took Japanese class with before and so we talked to kill time. An hour after my assigned time (11.10am), i finally got called to the interview. Cos there were still people behind me, they had to cut short the time. So, they sort of asked only 3 questions. Never mind, so i lengthened the time by asking them lor. Heh. Then went to have a short lunch before proceeding to the test at 1.30pm. To write a media release in Chinese and a speech in English. Fwah, luckily the media release topic was something i was familiar with, so i knew the Chinese terms. Saw alot of people didn't write much for the Chinese part. Heh. Test was an hour long, but my dad could only fetch me around 3.40pm. So i slacked at the reception again, and i so feel like falling asleep. Didn't see any stars, erm, one the top 24 Superstar finalists count? Li Jun was talking with a group of secondary school students. i don't understand why the students want to sit there and wait for a chance to pounce on any star they see. Waste time nia, go home and sleep lar.
Well, the job isn't really what i wanted, though it is interesting to a certain extent and i can imagine the perks that comes with it. Heh, but it's also quite stressful. Plus the travelling. But heck lar, today already got 19 interviewees, tomorrow still got another batch leh. Talk like i will get choosen like that. i better focus on my other 2 interviews. So tired ah! Oh yah, my parents don't understand why we have to go through so many rounds of interviews. Sigh, like i want like that. Now companies can afford to choose people mah. PM, you bluff us, economy where got good?

Xianz
Am researching on this company for tomorrow's interview. But really got no motivation cos i really got nothing to say about myself for that position. i basically craped my way through in my CV. Didn't expected to be shortlisted. And i'm already expecting myself to flop tomorrow's interview, i'm just going there for fun, hope can meet some people. Dawn, try to get his number for you lar... heh.

There is hope afterall
Today was a lovely day despite the terrible weather. i won't say much cos i don't want to say too much also... All in all, my mood is good today.
Having been in close contact with 2 friends recently cos our situations are sort of similar. It's a nice feeling, knowing some person out there is willing to spend the time to listen to your woes, your concerns. Never mind that they can't really give much advice, sometimes, all you need is a listening ear. Let's all jia you together! Should know who you are, though one of them rarely reads my blog. Hoho... Yes, friend, good luck for tomorrow, though it's not really your kind of job, just treat it as an experience.
Life is starting to look wonderful again.

Please let things work out
Today i went for my long awaited interview at K. Surprised? Cos i didn't update you guys about it right? Well, i didn't want to give myself too much stress, so i didn't go around telling everyone. Only 2 friends knew about it. Still, i don't know whether it was the stress or what, i woke up today feeling damn giddy, like the whole room was circling around me. Then later, i vomitted which made me feel much better. Luckily the interview was in the afternoon. Anyway, i didn't flop at this interview but i felt that one of the interviewers (there were 4) didn't exactly looked convinced that i super wanted to work there. Maybe i should gather testimonials from all of you and send to them to prove it. Heh. But well, i'll be informed within a week if they want me. And of cos i really hope they do... i hope at least the other 3 interviewers will want me... Oh, i'm thinking of sending this "Thank You" letter to them but since it was a panel and i don't know their names, i don't how to go about doing it. Anyone got experience?
Yesterday was a lovely becos we experienced something unexpected. Me and my parents were going home from Suntec and was deciding to pick my bro from VCH. But then the road to there was jammed and so my dad quickly took a U-turn and told my bro to go home himself. So my dad was wondering how come that road was jammed, at 8pm somemore which is unusual. Then i said "i think today got fireworks." Just as i finished saying that, the sky boomed with fireworks as our car stopped at the big big junction near Suntec. Then my dad, "Aiya, should turn right instead, go Nicholl Highway cannot see liao." So we took the Nicholl Highway but on the way, we still could see bits of the fireworks. Then nearer to Stadium there, the left lane was filled with cars which stopped to watch the fireworks. So we did the same and we really had a clear view. It was so lovely. Especially the finale, using all the golden showers fireworks that i really love. Last year, we 3 went down to the Esplanade and sat for 3 hours just to watch 8 mins of display, but this year, with splendid timing, we also got to watch. We just can't get tired of fireworks, can't we? =)

Music experiment
I wouldn't say it's an experiment really, more of something i want to try for fun. So the concept is this, every week, i will go to my favourite music website, see the first Mandarin album on the list, click on it and get track 7. Why track 7? Lazy to explain. Then i will put it on my music player regardless whether it is nice or not. Hopefully like that, we can explore more unknown singers and who knows? Good singers as well? Not so hopeful about that part though. Heh. So first up is Nan Quan MaMa's second album track 7 : 橘子汽水.

EQ is very important desu

Yes, i'm talking about you, Jielun. Sure, i was clapping my hands and cheering you on when i saw the video of you against the dog. But the finger was really not needed lar. And dear Patty ah, dear Patty, how could you even allow your boyfriend to get out of the car in the first place? i thought you will have more brains than that. Learn from Andy Lau, his super high EQ resulted in very little negative news. Like that then can be in the showbiz for 20 plus years ok.
Meanwhile i'm trying to get the infamous video. Next Magazine should give it away as VCD or something with the magazine. Actually ah, i bought a copy of the HK version Next Magazine before and painstakingly took the effort to read the damn thick magazine. Somemore they use the cantonese way of writing which is difficult to comprehend lar. Their journalism in tabloids 多多少少 deserve some credit lar. They super expressive in their reports one. Students who have difficulties writing their Chinese essays can use them as reference. And besides those 八卦, they do have some decent writing that is worth reading. i'm also considering whether to download his new song, though still finding a source to get it.
The victim of this whole thing is Nan Quan MaMa leh. Jielun also not very nice lar, chose to speak about the matter during their album release conference today. NQMM really quite cham liao, first album didn't sell well, then band members changed 2 of them, second album still have to depend on Jielun to direct their MV as a marketing gimmick. Now release album, whole world is ask about Jielun, instead of album. Then album release timing also wrong lar. Got Andy Lau, got 5566 (though i think their popularity also abit...). Aiya, in any case, i don't 看好.
So much about EQ, my EQ also say not very high lar. Young people ah, easily 上火. Like the more i think about why K don't want to give me a chance, the more frustrated i get. And if i don't get a job soon, my mum is starting to nag about getting a boyfriend, finding a job, blah blah... Sigh. At least i'm quite sure i'm getting my $45. And my potential $150, which will be spent to book Li Yundi's concert for next year. Got bread then can appreciate Arts.
Land Ahoy! @ 9:21 AM
Why did i do that?
Was surfing Andy Lau official website and looking at all the various covers he had graced on the countless magazines. Then i suddenly realised i had threw away all the I-weekly magazines with him on the cover. All becos of moving house and for fear there'll be no space in the new room for the magazines which is true to a certain extent, but space can always be created. And so, my many years of collection went to the garbage and now i am so regreting my decision. But i guess i'll forget about it by tomorrow morning. And so, you must be thinking "Jy must be really boh liao to even write this kind of thing." Well, i am thinking whether to pop by my favourite bookstore tomorrow since got 20% off. But i got no books to buy. But then it is rare for stationery to have 20% off too. Not that i got stationery to buy also. And i shouldn't spend so much money when i'm not even paid for my half day assignment that day yet! Maybe our dear ex project mate is out to cheat us, Char. i'm going crazy. Happy National Day everyone! Can see helicopter with the flag fly by my house later... Maybe i should charge my digitial camera battery now.

Andy Lau is the ideal husband
And i am not joking. i had that notion since JC i think. There're many guys i can list under "The Ideal Boyfriend", but for ideal husband, it has always been his name only. Cannot comprehend?
1. He is good looking. Those who dispute this fact are blind. Ha.
2. He is rich. Despite being cheated by business partners, not getting money from previous music company, donating every now and then.
3. He is hardworking. He works for his fans cos he doesn't like his fans to wait too long for his work to be released. 1-2 movies per year, 1 Cantonese album, 1 Mandarin album per year, concert tours, endless charity work, commercials...
4. He is filial. He likes children. Guys who like children cannot be bad.
5. He is Libra. Libra is the best horoscope out of the twelve.
6. He is smart. Being able to keep his private life relatively private, yet keep a high level of exposure to the public. Keeping a very good relationship with the media (it's HK we're talking about ok.) such that media rarely purposely fabricate negative news about him or even defending him.
After reading so much, what are you waiting for? Go buy his latest Mandarin album "All About Love". Haha... i have chosen a song from the album which i thought will be quite radio friendly though my favourite is another track. And i love the packaging of the album... So creative but damn difficult to get the CD out. Argh, my right eye is itchy, i'm going to sleep.

Finally, something to do
Got so many stuff to update you guys... First thing, those concerned about my quest to get into K. i called on Wednesday, to get the nasty lady cos nice guy was on leave. Being nasty lady, she just said if i'm shortlisted, they'll call me. At the end of the conversation, i lost all hope and hung up the phone with a sigh. But i decided to gather bits of whatever hope that is left and called on Thursday to speak to the nice guy. Being nice guy, he sort of gave me a chance and asked to talk about myself, so i began promoting myself, why i wanted the position. Then he told me to hold on, maybe to talk to his colleague. Then he told me why i wasn't shortlisted. Said my CV was more inclined to solely Marketing but the position consists of other stuff also, thus, they thought i might be misinterpreting the job scope. So people, very important to customise your CV properly for the job you want. So i assured him that i'm very interested in the job scope and will have no problems. So he went on to ask questions like what kind of books i read, do i play music instruments(huh?), expectd salary. i think my reading genre sound abit too narrow to him. Cos i rarely read non-fiction books and you know the company holds alot of that kind of books. i guess they need people in that area. So though he say he will re-review my application and call me in a week's time if they need me, i'm still quite apprehensive. But what can i do except to cross my fingers? Ah, you all can help me cross fingers! =)
That's all for K. So Thursday morning got back abit of hope, afternoon went to have fun! Had lunch with Hinhin and Xb at Suntec. Met Mr. Ho there also! For some scholarship conference. Too bad couldn't sit down and talk long. So anyway, we went to Marina Square new food court to eat, then window shopped at Suntec. Then Hinhin decided to give her virgin salon experience to Kimage at Funan. So me and Xb accompanied her there and we both were whispering about the hair stylists there. Like how this certain guy is cute, haha, but think he not yet senior stylist, more of wash hair and prepare hair dye. Still i will prefer to trust my Marine Parade neighbour hair dresser, haha. After that, i had to go Bt Merah which is another round of surprise for me. ** i took out what i wrote just now cos i don't want people who know ah beng to read about me writing about him. Those who know i talking about don't mention his name in the taggie hor. Nowadays, you never know who's reading your blog.
For Friday, cos got experience dealing with customers on phone before, so dealing face to face is still ok with me. And i was too busy to care about whether i was performing well or what. Just that i hope i get my money... haha. Cos already pre-spent on 2 CDs today ah... Actually got many things to say about today, but my arms are aching and my eyelids are not opening very wide liao... So i shall just leave it as that.

Nervous
Well, this is for Dawn since she wants to know my thoughts about Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. To be honest, i have forgotten much of the book, except the part about a chocolate that has lots of bubbles inside. But anyway, i thought the movie was queer. Yes, queer. Well, i kind of expect it will not be normal anyway, since it's Tim Burton + Johnny Depp, but it was not my kind of queer. Erm, i won't advise people to pay to watch this movie, but it's hard to say, some people just might like the queerness. And the movie does not have the part about the chocolate with bubbles. Hmph.
That's about the free movie. Up to today, K has not called me yet, which means i'm going to call them tomorrow and be a pester bug. i'm nervous becos i'm afraid they'll find me to be a total nuisance and ignore me (lucky my number is private, they can't bar me). i'm nervous becos even though i have like sort of listed out reasons why i want to work there, i'm afraid i'll fumble and stumble over my words, like how i do everytime i get nervous. Then i say the wrong things and leave a bad impression. So i think i shall try to mimic a few conversations later, to be prepared. i don't want to hear sugary words like "Your application is still in processing" kind of brush-me-off statements, yet i don't want to appear too desperate (even though i am) by asking for a definite answer. My feet is turning cold now and goosebumps appearing... Please please don't give me a hard time tomorrow.
