Birki's ! Yes, i finally bought my first pair of Birki's. Was searching on the web for a picture to show you all, but after like hours of searching, i couldn't find a single one. It can only say 1 thing. Either my design is too old, or it's too new. i bet it's the latter cos that day i went with Ms Bimbo Tan, i think they just had new stock coming in lar. And i didn't see the design before then. Today still got lots of people there, and not just to look but buy. And we observed some of them are already wearing a pair currently. Now got lots of new additions, and i see until i blur. In the end, i narrowed down to 2 designs, same style, 1 is pure white, the other is got pattern one. Below is the style i bought, not the colour though, i emphasize. You all will never imagine the colour i bought. The colour is so not me.

People familiar with Birkenstock will know the many family brands under it. Can go www.birkenstock.com.sg to see see. And i didn't know Tanglin Mall has another outlet. All along, i thought Wheelock was the only one. Mountain turtle lar. And while searching on the net, i found out this website www.footshopping.com where it sells birkenstock bloody cheaper lar. Just need to find a 1 or 2 friends to chalk the purchase to enjoy free shipping. The shoes online is like, 30 bucks cheaper lor. Damn. And got so many designs. But don't have mine. Which reminds me, when i was about to pay, i saw another woman picking the same design as mine to try! Bloody hell, i didn't pick white cos i want to be unique, and you had to pick the same design as mine? i hope she doesn't buy it in the end.
Happy Birthday Charlene! Though you're like 10 thousand miles away, but i bet you can feel the warmth of my blessing in the cold winters now. Haha...
Now my family is thinking of going overseas for the CNY. But being CNY and being January, there're not many places we can go. Places with Chinese people around. Places that are too cold. Places that are too far. Places that we've been before. We're thinking of Korea. But it's all just thinking now. i think most probably i'll be stuck here in the end. Sigh, i hate CNY. Actually i hate all the visiting part and the entertaining of all the relatives, answering of same questions every year, blah blah... i look forward to my mum's damn delicious steamboat for CNY eve, and the Hockchew dishes... Yummy. And also, walking around Chinatown 2 weeks before CNY. And cutting my hair. And waiting for The Box to have sale so that i can buy their pretty skirts. And counting down to another year before i'll change my handphone. And... whatever.

Hi all! If you're stopping by this almost abandoned blog that is. Heh. Sorry lar, even my weekends are like packed to the brim. Like what Xb says, she doesn't even have time for herself. To me, time for myself is more important than anything else. Explains why i'm still single huh. Haha... Work has been fine for me, if anyone wants to know. Duties piling up due to my ability to handle tasks well. Haha... abit BHB. But hey, i was the only temp staff to be able to go for training with 3 other permanent staff. (though in the end training cancelled cos trainer was sick). Also, my manager confirmed i'll be converted to contract position next month. Pay increment to $1400, still must minus CPF. Sux. But hey, i'm the first temp to be converted amongst the other temp staff that came in around same time as me. So see, i got the work ability, why other companies before that all got stamps on their eyes huh? Ok, enough of blowing my own trumpet.
One of the stuff i'm been planning to do after i get my contract position is planning my holidays. You see, i'm different from you guys whereby i still have to work on S'pore public holidays except CNY and Labour Day. Sad i know, but hey, i get to plan my off days. So upcoming Xmas, New Year and Hari Raya Haji, i all have to work. So i'll plan to use Xmas to take one day off on 1 Feb, which means a super long weekend for CNY since the Taiwanese have holidays until 3 Feb. Then another off will be used whenever Xiao Zhu is coming for autograph session cos i'll need to Q up. Then the last off, haven't thought of when to take. So yup, my friends, you can forget about trying to get me out on meal dates on public holidays yah. Unless you come to my office to have lunch with me. Haha...
Though i don't celebrate Xmas, i'm gonna do some Xmas shopping for myself. Most probably will get a pair of Birks tomorrow if i get the impulse. Heh. And anxiously waiting for Kinokuniya's 20% sale so that i can get my expensive Japanese textbooks. Yea, quite serious about taking the JLPT 3 exam next year, so guess i'll continue with classes all the way until July 2006 at least. Close to 800 bucks potentially spent. And with me saving 50% of my pay every month, i don't think i can get my new Sony Vaio in the next few months if i want to visit dear Char next year. So please my dear present Vaio, hang in there... Stop making funny noises and restarting by yourself, don't scare me.
i'll talk about some of the guys in my office some other time. When i get the inspiration. Now i'm more interested in the SEA games. Of cos i'll sure watch swimming. But looking at Channel 5's lousy TV coverage of the Games, i xianz already. Daily highlights only 1/2 hour? Might as well don't say lar. Then of all sports, show soccer live for what? Then daily coverage of sports only 1 hour. Crap lar. By the way, S'pore got 1 gold liao huh. Water polo. Unbeatable sia. i think other countries also xianz to play with us. Haha. Jia you! Will update the medal tally everyday if there's anything to update. Just don't put your hopes on the soccer team. Super CMI.
Takeshi Kaneshiro is coming to S'pore on 5 Dec. i hope i'll win the tickets from i-weekly. Wah liao, Sammi Cheng ticket i win also no use, i want Takeshi! i also can't take leave on that day to Q up at Lido there to see him. And being the queer him, he might not even come at the last minute. Takeshi...

首次听完的反应是，“什么？萧邦 leh?” 只能用“失水准”来形容。一下是我这几天来听了N遍的心得。
夜曲 ：很理所当然地成为主打歌。新意是没有，但胜在琅琅上口，歌词动人，MV也拍得不错。所以，passed.
蓝 色风暴 ：看到封套的介绍，“百事可乐的广告歌”，还没听就马上扣分。很不喜欢杰伦和商业的关系搞得太密。所以听了N遍还是不喜欢。尤其当中的词 “耍狠不是靠对嘴 我就是传说中的谁 你跟我们很对味 有同一挂的感觉 其他人我根本不屑” 很不搭其余歌词的调调。编曲上除了用按电话键盘的声音有点新意以外，不然就普通。
发如雪 ：我猜这应该是很多人的最爱。我没想到我也会喜欢，因为我从来就不太欣赏他的中国风味道比较重的歌，包括《东风破》。可是这首真的百听不厌。虽然MV烂透 了。哈哈。而且歌词简单，方文山的歌词 quality 有90%以上。我弟认为杰伦唯一有看头的地方就是他能把不同地方的乐器 fuse 在一起。所以他也喜欢这首歌。我想这首取代了《黑色毛衣》成为专辑中的最爱。
黑色毛衣 ：杰伦作词作曲。我喜欢，因为简单。旋律简单，意境简单，就够了。我弟喜欢前奏的吉他 solo，是杰伦弹的哦。
四 面楚歌 ：有谁能告诉我 “四面楚歌” 是什么意思？家里没有词典。基本上，这首还不错听，尤其喜欢 “ 如果伤害我是你的天性 。。。那我会送你们手电筒” 这里的旋律转折。我最中意他搞这种 twist。但如果词不是写关于狗仔队的话，我会给较高的分数。关于狗仔队的种种，我已经听腻了。再怎么说，唱，劝，骂，大环境还是不会改变的。有点可惜 啦，败在词。
枫 ：整张专辑最差的歌词就属《枫》啦。整首想表达的太多，太煽情，太冗长。每一句都想得太复杂，结果我根本不了歌到底要说什么。弹头这次太用力了。跟上次的 《搁浅》差好多。到现在我无法好好地研究歌词，因为我单是看就觉得晕眩，沉重。Overwhelming。曲就普通吧。
浪漫手机 ：不是很好，也不是很坏。如果真要挑，问题也出在词。不是方文山写得不好，而是手机这个东西，用过好几百遍了。看他代言 Panasonic 和 One2Free 就多了，歌也来一个手机。我讨厌 repetition 啦。
逆鳞 ：听了好久才发觉他已经在5月的台湾金曲奖表演这首曲子过了。这首也是属于 neutral 的 category。
麦 芽糖 ：我很怀疑这首是他要写给别人唱，然后可能拿回来自己唱或者被退回。So bubblegum pop. Must be write for Jolin then she don't want. But he very cute to add in the Thai thingy. Must be kena influenced by 小猪。
珊瑚海 ：*叹息* 放这首歌是个错误。杰伦声音高，Lara更不用说，加起来听多很吃力。想跟着唱，可是一直觉得 Lara 的 key 很怪。歌词就典型的对唱情歌咯。《屋顶》顾名思义就是 the top liao，想超越应该没那么容易吧。
总的来说，要我将六张排名的话，会是这样。
1。杰伦同名专辑
2。范特西 / 叶惠美
3。七里香
4。11月的萧邦
5。八度空间
加 油吧，杰伦！希望以后的专辑都能挤进前两名。我觉得问题是他在同一个时间，做太多事情了。如果放假一年，完全做音乐，我想会像孙燕姿那样，交出 《Stefanie》那样的漂亮成绩。重点是，歌迷，公司，厂商，媒体会放过他吗？我不是在等一个能超越杰伦的新人，我是在等杰伦超越自己。

i got so many things to say but it's late and i really have to sleep. Anyway, just to inform you guys that i updated my playlist. One being of cos from Jielun, Black Sweater, currently my favourite in the new album. Will give a proper review of the album this weekend. Another addition is a classical piece of the original Chopin piece, Nocturne. Especially dug out my Li Yundi CD and rip the track out. Chopin is one of Yundi's most favourite composers and he even won a very high class Chopin competition in Germany before. So for those who are curious to hear how the "real" Nocturne sounds like, it's here. Too bad i'm not atas enough to understand the piece or even appreciate it.
Ok, more updates this weekend.
