i feel good and bad
Friday was my JC class gathering. Turnout was surprisingly good. 4 guys and 6 girls. But problems with big groups on a Friday night is, waiting for tables at restaurants, especially when you didn't make reservations. Waited 1 hour at Crystal Jade cos 2 big tables refused to go after paying up. Fine, finally got the table and then settle on what to eat. Becos it was like 9pm already, the dishes in the set for 8 people which we wanted to order, alot all finish liao. So in the end, just ordered individually. Then restaurant was closing, so we moved on to 许留山, where the deserts are disgustingly overpriced for its own good. But it was good, chatting with old friends, laughing over silly stuff, good to know that some things do never change. Am looking forward to a KTV session with the fellow KTV lovers one day.

The guys

Had my eyes closed! Crap.
As for the not so good stuff, not important though. Both my idols lost their round 3 matches. Sad. Coria kena beaten by Sebastien Grosjean 2-6 2-6 6-3 4-6. Was quite a bizzare match i would say. As for Ferrero, he kena beaten by Nicolas Kiefer 3-6 2-6 7-5 2-6. No more sneaking around in the office next week to look at the online scoring.

Poor thing, he hurt his fingers.

Used to be former No. 1

Tennis, tennis, tennis
Argh, i hate sneaking around during work just take a peek at the online scoring. And not being able to cheer and shout when my idols won. Yes, both my idols won. Starting with Coria, beating Federico Luzzi 7-6 6-4 6-3. Managed to record parts of it. Coria improved greatly on his serve. Good to see that. And someone must have knocked better sense into his head, maybe it's his wife, cos he got rid of that hideous super tight fitting shirt.

Looking much better now
As for Ferrero Rocher, he beat Janko Tipsarevic (all the funny names) 6-3 3-6 5-7 6-3 6-2. Long match, not good, will wear his stamina. Also watched around 2 sets of this match cos tape can't record that long.

Both their opponents next round will be interesting and more challenging. So guess i'm gonna stay glued to the telly on Saturday. Damn, i have Japanese lessons.
New season of American Idol has started last week and i didn't know until Mediacorp sms me today. Didn't really do much marketing yah. But now my telly life revolves pretty much around the Chinese channels. With limited time at home, i can't really watch them all.
Weekend is finally going to be here. Enjoy yourselves people!

Want to stay at home
It's so heartwrenching to be able to only open a tiny window and watch the online scoring of the matches of Australian Open once in a while during work. It's pathetic. Since yesterday, i was whining to myself why am i not at home watching tennis and instead, in the office, talking to unreasonable customers... Boo hoo. Today both my idols played, and i was excited looking at the online scores once in a while, and cheering them on in my heart. Haha... But nothing beats being able to watch them live on telly. Well, they didn't show their matches today anyway. Sports channel assume everyone wants to watch Roger Federer (they call him FedExpress).
Sigh. But never mind, both my idols managed to pass through Round 1. Juan Carlos Ferrero, had an easy match, beating Tomas Zib 7-5 6-0 6-2. While Guillermo Coria wasn't so lucky. Had to play 5 sets against Victor Hanescu 6-4 1-6 4-6 6-2 6-1 before claiming victory. It's all his shoulder problem that he can't seem to serve properly since last year.

i totally hate his new apparel.

Semi annual haircut
Today i change my hairdresser of 5 years, and tried out Kimage at Funan for my first haircut of 2006. It's a risk cos : 1) CNY is near. Nobody wants a bad hair for CNY. 2) Don't know whether the guy i picked will be good or bad. Sometimes forum reviews can be deceiving. But i wasn't apprehensive or anything though. i just went there like nothing bad is going to happen. Hin was already there doing her treatment. i reached early before my appointed time. So had my hair washed first. i never wash hair at salon cos many salons count it as extra charge. But Kimage's haircut price includes hairwash, so i boh bian let them wash. But later on, my brother commented my hair looked shinier. Maybe i should spend more time washing my hair...
Then my hairdresser, Mr Chia, came and said hi. Then of cos is the discussion of what style i want. For those interested, i asked for Jacelyn Tay's hair in her new show. But slightly shorter. Then he proceed on to cut. From the forum i read, he seem to be quite a chatty and friendly guy. But then he was quite quiet and never smile much, so i was thinking, "die, he bad mood issit? later my hair how?". But along the way, he asked some silly questions which left me quite amused. Heh. But, there's something, which i didn't mention to you Hin this afternoon cos i felt talking about it sounds weird.
You people might not know that i don't like guys to touch my hair, not even my brother. Cos i feel that when guys touch a girl's hair, it's a form of affection. But yet, i insist on male hairdressers everytime cos i don't trust my hair with female hairdressers. So it's quite tough for me to sit there 1 hour and let a guy touch my hair. But today's haircut was worse than my previous cuts with Mr Roger at Marine Parade. Maybe it's cos i didn't feel like i'm in control today. i don't know how to say, but as Mr Chia started seriously cutting, i felt attracted to him. Ok people, you can stop rolling eyes now. i don't know if it's the way he cuts, the way he goes about cutting, it has a smooth flow, and somehow an aura appears. Haha. In spite of the fact he's not the shuai guy type and he speaks with the funny Malaysian accent, i just somehow like the way he handles my hair. 认真的男人最美丽。This is so true. Guys with a talent attract girls easily. i can't stand guys who have no goals, no skills, nothing intangible to speak of. So just after 1 hour with less than 10 sentences of conversation, i want to get to know Mr Chia better as a person. Weird i know, i can't understand this myself. So imagine how i felt when later he handed me his name card with his handphone number scribbled on it. Hin said he must have like me as a customer and felt that i will go back to him next time. And Hin also hearsay he doesn't give his number often. That i do not really know.
Well, considering that i cut my hair twice a year, i think i will go back to Mr Chia 6 months down the road. $31.50 for a haircut cum hairwash is really quite affordable. For those interested in my hair, do wait for my S23 outing photos this coming Friday or my Taiwan trip photos ok? =)

Picture Perfect
After endless searching and registering for a few accounts to test out the services, i have finally found my almost perfect website to host my pictures. It's near perfect because i still can't upload bmp format (which are better quality), but i realise png format is the same quality as well and it is allowed for upload. So there. Here're my photos for the Xmas celebrations i had at Fedex. Look at the right tab for the link.
More photos are coming in as this Friday is the DHS 2D gathering, plus my CNY trips and maybe my baby cousin if i feel like it. Still waiting for my aunt to send me the photos... hmm. My cross stitch is finally finished! But duh, the frame cost more than my materials and workmanship all together. $30 just to frame that tiny thing. Suan le, it's all for the baby girl. She finally also has a name, 思仪. Which i really don't understand of all names, chose this. But oh well.
